Will you be my valentine?

Posted by adrainsean on February 29, 2008

Just came with this piece of stanza right now, as valentine day is way over I will have to wait to till next year to actually use it. Here is what I came up with.

Dear……….

Will you be my Valentine ?
I Know you’ll say, “no!”
For you, I’ll descend in the deepest trench
and on top of the Everest I’ll go!
I shall dive in the fiercest tempest
just to hear you say,
the pleasant “YES

I shall sing “Last Christmas” for you
But if I were as great as Wordsworth
I’d compare thee to sparkling dews of dawn
But the rhyme in me Dead and Dull

I’ll take you for Candle light Dinner on V day,
wish you on every birthday without a fail.
We’ll have Candy floss together
What did you say “No Way” ?
Oh please! I’ll add Ginger ice cream to the list.

I don’t like that guy who is always with you talking mushy and sissy.
His Smile is fake, never leads to sparkle in his eyes.
And, I’ll love to scare him “Boo”!!!

Maybe, I’aint good at poetry
But a loving heart is mine.
Jokes apart, tell me my lady divine

WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

The Kite Runner Sonnets

Posted by adrainsean on February 9, 2008

*** This sonnet is inspired from the great novel THE KITE RUNNER*******

Dirt under my fingernails.
Sand scouring my palms.
Sour breath on my neck.
Women’s voices behind the walls.
Mocking laughter grating on shredded nerves.
Sudden night, oppressively black,
Blinding me, heightening all else.
Your voice a lullaby…
Please, never know this…
Tucking me into bed,
Burying this pain.
Rough hands pulling me up, pulling out.
Tears on my face, washing away the night.
Clothes strange against my skin,
Blood seeping through them…
It won’t wash off, it won’t.
You, outside, inevitable as death.
Hold me. Nay, don’t.
Naught the same, naught unchanged.
Not you, nor I, nor us.
Forgive me.

Oldage Blues

Posted by adrainsean on January 16, 2008

Old ages when none of us have control our physical capabilities as when we were youngsters. Old age has always been a story of pain and despair , recently I saw a movie in which a father of two suffered Azhimezear disease in his old age and how his life ended in isolation after his two able sons left him for their wifes and other worldly possessions whom they now value more than the person brought them up single handedly even without a mother. I wonder after watching the movie whether the human beings have become so cruel to ignore their own loved ones when they are needed the most??

Getting on Age or Growing Old are all part of Life.
No matter who you are, where you’re from, one day you will grow old too. It is one of the absolute truth of life.Health starting to get worst, having problem moving around or even worst, memory starting to degrade. Seniors have to cope with all such troubles and more often then not all by themselves, although they are no longer able to cope alone due to a significant deficiencies (loss of memory, loss of sight etc.) or physical disabilities.
Elders are usually need special care homes requirement to fulfill their needs and give them the best care and health needs. Giving them such care is the least way to PAYBACK to them for what they have done for you in all the past years or atleast if taking care of people is not your cup of tea you can search for the best care homes that fit their needs and your budget in your local area.

The place should be a place where you can find answer of how to take good care of your Loved Ones. Personal room nursing home to residential care, all can be easily search for at Bettercare.com, which uses the light pastel colors to sooth the nerves of the Old aged and senior citizens . Information on common health issue of elderly people can also be found there. Some example like Arthritis, Bed Sores, Blindness etc. Free Advice about residential care including independent funding advice can be found there. There’s also a discussion forum available which allows you to share you personal experiences with people out there.
