Gambles of life

Posted by adrainsean on January 19, 2008

He moved from one street to another in search for every penny he had lost in the unmindful games of gambling he had indulged into after those long hours of binge drinking and weed smoking. Little did he realized that money gone in gamble was just like black hole there isn’t any coming back from there. The only way for him to survive now was to fight his way through these self inflicted adversities. Many a time wished that had he been serious in his gambling sessions at the local casino he would have as filthy rich as his friends are right now. The same friends who once used to call him The GOD with Cards. I missed my way and now I’m going to make up for it the smart way, the way his friends did.

His friends were no poker genius but rather well informed, they had knowledge about a particular online portal which provides great listing of the best poker houses with all their features, sign up amount, bonuses and extra attraction. Apart from this all such houses were rated and reviewed by it’s user to help the best casino cater to the audience.Playing with trusted casino houses has let him down as he was too lazy to inquire about the integrity of
the houses while his friends played at Top USA Online Casinos which provided guarantee payments and assured sign up bonuses as mentioned. Better late than never finally he knows the tricks of the trade and hopefully will rise like a phoenix, he is no other than my self standing outside the supermarket looking for one dollar to restart my quest in the gambles of life.

Operation TESLA

Posted by adrainsean on January 18, 2008

An hour ago, frankel had been on the holovision stage being introduced in team beta.”It’s 200 years since the birth of Nikola Tesla in 1856″.The announcer then said “Now the Zulu of our time is sending three teams of time travelers to find the legendary inventor’s lost paper on wireless transmission, without which practical use of MOFDM(multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) is nothing but dream and so is the idea of transmitting terabytes of data every second, death rays and it’s energy before it gets lost in the universe .

Frankel i snor teleported to Tesla’s Manhattan, walking north of fourth avenue from route no.66 towards the entrance to James park.Massive yellow-black taxis zoomed across the streets.A cop in black uniform checked him out, then walked passed him stating he is clean.Frankel was still worried “Haven’t heard from Watkins yet?”he said to the phone buried deep in to his three inch collar.

He could hear Jhonson’s annoyance through his ear piece “I told you dead spots are inevitable, even with main transmission in Empire States Building. These phones maybe outdated for 2056,but remember you are in 1937.” “Okay”,Frankel agreed reluctantly. He was grateful the rules let them use technology ahead of their time.Image mobile phones made out of vacuum tubes!.Getting colors of women fashion maybe difficult, but team beta got it all right with black suits, white shirts and red tie.Yet the team alpha has not arrived on time.

“Do you see Tesla yet?”Jhonson’s voice hissed through his ear piece.”He should be near the public library feeding the pigeons”.Inside the park, frankel looked east towards the library.A tall, lean elderly man was on the bench bobbing pigeons.Frankel recognized him as Tesla .”I see him walking, where is Watkins?.Haven’t heard from him in last 15 minutes.” “That’s when he went to Hotel Big Apple.I watched him from Cult Rane Drugs store across the Seventh Plam Avenue.I am having helping myself with a little 1909 Barely Cognac.”

“The hotel is a 43 storyed complex building and something must be blocking the weak transmission lines.I will tell him you have spotted Tesla.if i can’t get his phone i will head for Tesla’s room myself,I have tools to get there.” “but what if we can’t get you? Frankel questioned. The whole operation depended on everyone keeping in contact with each other so that the copy of the paper can be made and sent over to the prefixed retrieved point. The retrieval points shall be lost if even a single link is lost.

“Don’t worry nobody’s watching back here.We are perfectly safe no one can eavesdrop on our calls, just keep a eye on Tesla.” “O.K” Frankel agreed watching a old man is the easiest part of the whole operation. The only object of the operation was to retrieve the lost paper which hold the key to the future wireless technology.Watkins and Jhonson thought the document was in the hotel room in which Tesla lived. The old fashioned mechanical locks were a easy pick, the search for the paper now started.Frankel settled down on the bench keeping a discreet eye on Tesla. The inventor was engrossed in the pigeons,as he knew each one of them.Frankel opened a copy of THE SUN,the headlines ranged from world politics ,sport.Roosevelt talking on radio telephone with British prime minister Neville Chamber line about the where abouts of Adolf Hitler.the lower half of the page covered a follow up on the police interrogation of Belle-Vue hospital staff about the three lunatics who had escaped from the asylum ward yesterday.

Getting the view of time, the time was for another status check.”The inventor still feeding the birds and three cops walking alongside him” Frankel said to his collar.Nobody replied ,that was odd”Jhonson, watkins!are you there?”.thinking that police might have caught them trying to break into scientist’s room he buried himself in the newspaper and started speaking again “Jhonson,Watkins?do you copy?Rendezvous point is only 15 minutes away!report quickly.”

A heavy hand clamped down on Frankel’s right shoulder.” All right pal,we’ll take you back to a nice padded cell said one of the three policemen standing around him. They pulled away his newspaper and got him handcuffed with his hands behind his back, pulled out his wallet but not his transmitter sewn to his jacket collar.”Jhonson,Watkins help”.”if that’s your pals from Belle-Vue they are already in precinct talking to themselves………. just like you .”

Frankel shivered “They caught team Alpha, now they have got me,”he said into his collar phone.”i don’t no what tipped them off.”

The policemen rolled his eyes and pushed him into the state corrections ‘407 convict’ transport van to the Sheriff’s County Barrack.

GETTING HIGH WITH NOVELS FROM BOOKWORM CAFE

Posted by adrainsean on November 29, 2007

I’ve been obsessed with with novels these days and yesterday i was able to count a stunning 15 books that i’ve finished off, only some of them noteworthy through the past one month. Our library is big, i mean BIGG… and you would meet the great-grand-son of my grand-son to finish off a section alone. Aisles of noteworthy crap and everytime i go there, i can hear intellectual authors screaming out from the racks. The entire structure is huge, and u can stare at it for a good two minutes before you take your eyes off. And then there are the new sports complex and basketball court… DARN!!… i’m off track. I’ve started off with something related to novels.. didn’t i?..

so.. Why am i so engrossed in reading stuff?.. ah well… lets put it in my words.. it’s darn unique way of expressing something – perhaps the author’s quest for some answer, perhaps an idea he/she would like to convey, perhaps a critique on the society or on humanity, perhaps to narrate a real history of real people. The list, is endless as is the scope of a novel or even the sparse lines of a short story. That really makes sense.. doesn’t it?.

But then, Hitler is a real mind screwer long after he’s dead for god sake. I’ve read his Mein Kampf (thats ‘My-Freakin-story’ in german) long ago when i were a teeny weeny lingo enthusiast churning and masticating every other novel that came my way. And i came over a hard copy of it recently. I mean it.. the guy is a genius. I was a schmuck to read carefully all the views.. remember reading his concepts of an ideal square jawed race with right amouts of conviction and ideals that must be destined to rule the world.

And then there are ‘Rage of Angels’ and ‘The dooms day conspiracy‘ that i’ve borrowed from arvind.
